Corazon is a not-for-profit community organisation. It exists to promote mental health and well-being for individuals and families across the lifespan and especially those who have experienced distress, disadvantage and trauma. We believe all people should have access to affordable psychological and counselling services. We are committed to providing the opportunity for people to work towards achieving their full potential, forming positive relationships and dealing with life's challenges. Our commitment to justice, impels us to cross boundaries of culture, religion and social class in the delivery of our services.

With deep respect and love, we acknowledge the Wadawurrung people as the First Nations owners of the land on which Corazon now stands. We honour their continued deep connection to Country and are nourished and inspired by their wisdom, experiences, and spirituality. We pay our respects to their Elders, lores, customs and creation spirits. We eagerly anticipate the contribution of the generations yet to come and most particularly that arising from current First Nations infants, children and young people. With spirit-filled hearts, we commit to building together a future inspired by reconciliation, inclusion, care for Country, hope, and love.              

Volunteers make a valuable contribution to the work of Corazon. Some of the unique ways they compliment the team are the following: giving support and friendship to adults and children, offering practical and emotional support to families, providing childcare, fund-raising and serving on the Committee of Management.

Key criteria for volunteers include:

• commitment to values and policies of the Corazon Centre
• willingness to make a commitment and work as part of a team
• willingness to attend volunteer training
• a skill that matches the needs of Corazon
• agreement to confidentiality principles
• working with children / police check

In return the Corazon Centre provides:

• appropriate training
• insurance coverage
• support and assistance
• role description
• meaningful involvement in the work of Corazon

The Corazon Centre is about a ten minute walk from Werribee Railway Station and is located in "Old" Werribee. Situated on 0.6 acres in natural bushland it is adjacent to the Werribee River.
